NPO | Nobel Prize turns Obama into major philanthropist

The official report came yesterday regarding the decision of President Barack Obama about his decision to give away all of the $1.4 million in Nobel Prize money he received from that prestigious honor.

Given the controversy behind the story of his notoriety about winning the Nobel Prize, this charitable result of the honor may be the best remedy for the PR flap over the issue. According to this report: Republicans contended that Mr. Obama had won more for his star power and oratorical skills than for his actual achievements, and even some Democrats privately questioned whether he deserved the award. Mr. Obama, himself, maintained that he did “not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who have been honored by this prize.”

The ubiquitous Mueller investigation into so-called and alleged Russian “collusion” in the 2016 US Presidential Campaign has some chilling effects far beyond Washington circles, perhaps all the way to main street America and the nonprofit, non-governmental agencies that serve all of society.
“Trust” Regarding the Mueller fallout, U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned corporations say they are most concerned that the law changes would reverse a long-standing exemption and require their lobbyists to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The 1938 law has gained new fame with the indictments of former lobbyists Rick Gates and Paul Manafort, who worked on President Donald Trump’s campaign, for allegedly failing to comply with it. The charges stem from the investigation of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III into foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election.
What might this have to do with nonprofit organizations?  Read further:
