New philanthropy leader chosen at COH

Image
Given my 38 year career in hospital community relations and fund-development, you can assume that I witnessed many transitions in my own career and those of my colleagues during nearly four decades, starting in 1972.  Looking back, it is remarkable to note that my experience of working with seven different hospitals and health systems is actually typical in the profession.  For those who keep track of such statistics, the average NPO development position runs about five years per location, so my stint was about normal.  Because of my personal involvement (as a patient) at City of Hope in Durate, CA, it is a privilege to archive this announcement.

Buckmeisters of Pike Street

A visit to any Amazon eStore (including my Amazone Crossing location) will uncover any number of biographies and auto biographies of world captains of industry and commerce, not to mention politicians and other notables.  Perhaps, you have enjoyed this book, and the precursor Pour Your Heart Into It. Make no mistake, most of the world loves Starbucks, and that speaks for customers and as investors alike, but some critics believe this volume lacks the warmth and sheer adventure of the account of the startup of Starbucks.  In case you were searching here for information about the Starbucks Foundation, this is your LINK to the 'social current see' on that topic.
