Educator wants to teach something to Bill and Melinda Gates

I believe that Bill and Melinda Gates want to establish a legacy as people who left the world a better place. But I think their their efforts to “reform” education are woefully mistaken.  ~ Diane Silvers Ravitch : an historian of education, an educational policy analyst, and a research professor at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
You probably do not know Diane Ravitch, and perhaps this is not a proper introduction. According to what I have read here, those most familiar with her are the die-hard advocates of privatized approaches to education reform know this brilliant New York University education professor, who was once seen as generally supportive of the conservative critique of public education, but has drifted to being equally critical of charter schools and school vouchers.

Ravitch blogs about her perplexity over the educational objectives of the Gates Foundation.
